CMA delivered a R.I.C.H. detector for the AMS-02 experiment led by the Italian Space Agency. The mirror, anticipated to go up on a 2007 Space Shuttle launch, is a component in the experiment being conducted on the International Space Station studying the effects of gamma radiation on humans participating in long term missions. The mirror, developed and manufactured over the last 3 years by CMA, will be the first replicated, optical, composite mirror in space.
