CMA designs mirrors and structures for complete optical systems and Turn-key telescope systems using three-dimensional modeling. CMA is continuing to develop Finite Element Modeling and Analysis capability to verify designs and guarantee optical performance.
Designs include:
- Thin, deformable mirrors for active and adaptive optics
- Rigid, passive mirrors for imaging systems
- Mirrors with arial densities of 6-12 k/sq meter
- 1.4 meter OTA telescope systems, complete with lightweight mounts.
- Special mirror mounts and support structures for any mirror configuration.
- Hexapod control systems and structures for telescopes.
CMA has a build-to-print capability, producing to exacting specifications precise optical structures to meet customer needs. CMA utilizes FEA modeling to confirm opto/mechanical performance of a given CFRP optical system or component.
